Richard (MCIOB) qualified as a carpenter & joiner before moving into construction management, with a keen eye on quality Richard has managed award winning projects including: Winner of the Norfolk Association of Architects President Award for Craftsmanship on the Wymondham Abbey project, the Norfolk Association of Architects Full Awards for Craftsmanship the restoration of Blue Sky Barn, which project also achieved an RIBA east winner and featured on the programme Grand Designs "House of the Year" as a finalist.

He commenced small projects within his community leading to the bold decision to set up BMR in 2026
